Auto-Count® Dissector Sponges

Dissector sponges are used whenever tissue is needed to be abrasively, yet gently, removed from neighboring organs, vessels, or arteries. Dissector sponges are available in a variety of shapes and abrasive qualities.

  • Five sponges are set in our closed cell, low particulate Auto-Count® holder/counter and then placed in a Tyvek® peel pouch for ease of dispensing and accounting
  • The Auto-Count® holder/counter has a self-adhesive backing that sticks easily and firmly to the Mayo stand drape
  • All gauze used meets USP specifications and is made with extra strong, 30/30-weight thread
